About Us
Teito’s business began in 1992 in Salo, Finland under the name Salon Sähkö ja Data and its main business was electrical and data installation services. Sales of computers started in 1993.
We realized that the industry sector had more specific needs for computers, so we started designing our own computer model and in 1996 we started manufacturing computers for the industrial sector.
The information technology sector grew and by 1998 it overtook the electricity sector and the company was renamed SSD Computers.
In 2001, we established Jimm’s PC Store and its focus was in webstore. In 2005 SSD Computers change name to Tietoasema Oy. Tietoasema Group sold Jimms’s PC Store in 2009.
Teito was separated as its own company in 2007. Our business focused on industrial computers and peripherals, but industrial installation services were also a significant part of our business. Since 2008 we have expanded our operations to new products and customer segments. In 2009 , Teito became owned by its own employees and a equity finance company. Teito moved to its new premises in Salo during the same year.
Demand for industrial process control and video surveillance created a new segment in Teito.
Teito’s factory and office are located in Salo, Finland.
